Gandhi said, "Bullies are always to be found where there are cowards.鈥 Donald Trump has once again proven this maxim to be true.
Trump initially agreed to debate Joe Biden on Sept. 10 on ABC without a live audience. Since then, nothing has changed except his opponent. However, while Trump may have confidently debated 81-year-old Joe Biden, facing off against 59-year-old Kamala Harris and her strong speaking abilities would pose a different challenge altogether. Therefore, it was predictable that Trump, like any schoolyard bully, would find a way to back out of this debate.
Naturally, Trump could not admit he was afraid to share a stage with the vice president. Instead, he unsurprisingly altered the plan by moving the debate to Fox News in front of a live audience.
Donald Trump knew these terms would be unacceptable to Kamala Harris. This would then enable him to save face by absurdly claiming she was backing out.

As long as Trump does not face Harris directly, he feels free to attack her racial identity, criticize her laughter, and even call her 鈥渄umb as a rock,鈥 lacking the 鈥渕ental capacity鈥 to debate him. All this from a man who, only three years younger than Biden, weirdly wanders off track at his rallies with rambles about sharks, Hannibal Lecter, and even how magnets don鈥檛 work underwater.
For the sake of our nation's future, let鈥檚 not return this incoherent bully to the White House.
